Shocking Video Reveals Point Officers Are Stabbed in Surprise Attack

Both Senior Officers Moments Before the Attacker Was Tasered

One ranking policeman that leaped to the aid of a fellow officer that got attacked by a knifeman was granted the Royal Recognition for Bravery.

Sergeant Tim Ansell struggled against twenty-seven-year-old Jacob Brown subsequent to he pressed a blade to the throat of his partner Sgt Marc Foster.

Brown launched his attack as the law enforcement personnel and their colleague, PC Marcus Wolstencroft, were speaking to a driver after a vehicle incident in Whalley Range in summer 2023.

Brown stabbed and slashed both Sergeant Ansell and Sgt Foster before PC Wolstencroft stunned him with a Taser.

"Officer knifed," the constable stated over his radio.

Officer-mounted and dashboard camera recording made public by the agency showed Brown, wearing in dark clothing with a hood up, run up to Sgt Foster from the rear with a knife extended.

He collided with the policeman who stumbled and fell to the ground, before Sergeant Ansell jumped in and tried to wrestle him to the floor despite being multiple times hit with the knife.

Police Constable Wolstencroft drew his Taser and awaited a clear shot, concluding the struggle to an conclusion.

Sgt Ansell stated audibly: "Can I get help on my throat here, I got knifed in the throat."

Sergeant Ansell suffered multiple deep cuts to his neck and additional wounds to his limbs and body, whereas Sergeant Foster experienced knife wounds.

Officials reported Sergeant Foster used his bare hands to stop his colleague's hemorrhaging prior to paramedics arrived.

The new recognition arrives subsequent to the three officers won organizational Bravery Awards in fall 2023 and the police federation award from the local union branch in spring 2024.

They were also awarded a Regional Courage Honor in July 2024.

"The responses of all three officers eventually protected themselves and ensured no civilians experienced any wounds."

Brown was sentenced to an psychiatric detention in spring 2024, per the department.
